Materium integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Steam: when you link your Steam account, we access your public game library and playtime data through Steam's OpenID and Web API.
  • Stripe: payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. Materium does not store, process, or have access to your payment card information.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the Materium service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Your Rights

CCPA (California):if you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws treat the use of advertising cookies as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out by declining cookies in our consent banner, which limits advertising to non-personalized ads.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address listed below.

7. Children's Privacy

Materium is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 16 and located in a jurisdiction that requires parental consent (such as the EU under GDPR), you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use Materium. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Cookies

Materium uses cookies for two purposes: anonymous product analytics (via PostHog) and advertising (via Google AdSense). When you first visit Materium, a consent banner lets you accept or decline these cookies. If you decline, we disable analytics and instruct Google to serve only non-personalized ads. Collector subscribers do not see ads at all. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. We do not serve ads or set advertising cookies for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

9. Data Retention and Security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and secure password hashing, to protect your data.

10. International Data Transfers

If you are accessing Materium from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Materium, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
