Screenshots, blocking, and richer game pages

Upload and share game screenshots, mark games 100%, and block other players. Game pages now show community stats, recent sessions, and links to related games.

Added

  • Upload screenshots for any game. They start out private, and any you share appear on the game's public page, where other players can comment on them. Sharing one also posts it to the activity feed, and each shared screenshot has its own link. Free accounts can keep 20 screenshots, and Collectors have no limit.
  • Mark a completed game as 100%. Steam and PSN sync record it for you once every achievement is unlocked, and a PSN completion shows as Platinum.
  • Block another player from their profile. Neither of you can follow, mention, comment on, or react to the other, and you stop seeing their reviews, lists, and posts.
  • Log a play session for a game you don't own, like a demo or a borrowed copy. If you add the game to your library later, those sessions come with it. You can also edit a session straight from its feed post, and edits or deletes on either one now carry over to the other.
  • Game pages show how many players have each game in their library and how many finished it, plus recent play sessions from the community. They also link out to the game's genres and platforms, more games from the same developer, similar games, other versions, and the rest of the series.
  • Visitors who aren't signed in get a home page with game search, trending games, recent reviews, public lists, and upcoming releases. Anyone can also browse the catalog by genre, by platform, or A to Z, and look through a monthly archive of release dates.
  • Adult games are kept off community pages and sit behind an 18+ overlay. Turn on Show adult content in your preferences to remove the overlay and include them in search.

Changed

  • Usernames and display names can't contain slurs or offensive terms, and slurs are blocked in reviews, lists, and comments. Accounts with an existing name that fails the check are asked to choose a new one before they post again.
  • Game pages load faster, and store deals no longer hold up the rest of the page.

Fixed

  • On a phone, tap a play session to edit or delete it. Those controls used to appear only on hover.
  • Game pages show the exact release date when it's known. They used to show only the year.
